Elizabeth Bastos is a Baltimore-area mother, freelance writer, and former corporate and foundation relations officer. She began her career writing lines for the character of the sea slug in the New England Aquarium’s television show, SEA-TV.
Since then, her work has appeared in the magazine of the Museum of Science, Boston; the Smithsonian, Appalachian Mountain Club Magazine, Shambala, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Big Jewel, Baltimore Style, and the Book Bench blog of the New Yorker magazine.
She is the author of the blog titled Goody Bastos and a founding member of From Women’s Pens.
In her free time Elizabeth cooks and is trying to learn to dance, but mostly she cooks.
